"I found this restaurant randomly, it wasn’t on my travel plan at all. I decided to dine in one morning, and there was no queue. After being seated, they provided a QR code to order food. They also asked us to order tea. I only remember two options: jasmine tea and chrysanthemum tea. Tea is mandatory for dine-in: HKD 8 per person on weekdays and HKD 10 per person on weekends. I waited a bit for the food because the restaurant was full. I ordered choi sum, shrimp dumplings, spring rolls, and cucumber seafood salad. Everything was super, super good and delicious. I can’t believe I only found this place now, because I was leaving in two days—why, why did I just discover this amazing restaurant? So I came back again the next day and ordered takeaway to eat at my hotel, since I didn’t want to drink tea. If you’re walking around this area, please come and enjoy this place!"

"Really good dim sum, with excellent service. The place is small and queue times can be up to an hour long. Most of the dishes were good. Highly recommend the steam rice with pork patty and squid, and the siu mai and harkow were of high standard. The beef balls were okay, while the pork buns had fluffy skins but the filling was on the sweet side. You can order a tea for two for $15, which includes pu’er, and rose and lychee. The mango with sago was also refreshing. Will be adding this eatery to our TST food list. Oh yes, get a number when you arrive."

"Long queue , be prepared to wait for 40 to 60mins more. Lots of tourists. Waitress seems to capable to speak some English. So communication is not an issue. Shrimp dumplings with asparagus not so stand out as expected. Not much asparagus inside. Love that they have some regular tea options like jasmine and some flavor tea can choose from. I like the lychee oolong tea. Abalone is good. Guess everyone order lobster more. We waited the abalone longer time. Like fried lychee shrimp balls too."

"Found this place by random and it was probably the most impressive dim sum I've had in HK for this price point. Dishes were done well. The double boiled soup with seahorse was delicious. Even much better than when I went to a place that specialized in double boiled soup. Deep fried bean curd roll wrap - perfectly fried. Not oily. Comes out hot. Daikon pastry - the daikon mix inside wasnt exactly that good but the puff pastry outside was well done. Vietnamese zaa leung rice roll - very unique mixture of many things with a crispy wrap. Daan saan - photo worthy. It has sprinkles of colorful wafer. Really cute and fun to eat. They had a french press for tea even though they use tea bags."

"Came here for dinner. There was a long queue to get in here to eat. We waited almost an hour. The dim sum was decent. We tried a wide selection of steamed and fried dishes. Its all nice but nothing terribly outstanding. It's worth the wait for the first time you come, but probably not worth the wait for the 2nd time. The flaky pastry with the ham was special and the malay steamed cake was surprisingly tasty. The others were agreeable but not exceptional."

"Tried several dim sum dishes at Log Ye Dim Sum 樂意點心 and was pleasantly surprised by both the variety and presentation. The colorful soup dumplings were a highlight—each one had a different flavor and the skins were delicate while still holding the rich broth inside. The shrimp dumplings (har gow) were fresh and nicely steamed, with a soft, slightly translucent wrapper and generous shrimp filling. The siu mai topped with roe had great texture and flavor, and the steamed shrimp dumplings were juicy and well-balanced. I also enjoyed the crispy fried taro dumplings, which had a light crunchy exterior and a savory filling inside. The dim sum came out hot and fresh from the bamboo steamers, and the overall presentation was beautiful. It’s a great place to try a variety of classic dim sum dishes along with some more colorful or creative options. Definitely worth stopping by if you're craving dim sum."

"Had a great dim sum experience at Log Ye Dim Sum in Hong Kong. The restaurant was packed during our visit, which seems to be the norm here, but the food quality definitely lived up to the crowd and long wait. Despite how busy the place was, service remained relatively efficient and the dishes came out quickly. The dim sum overall was excellent — fresh, flavorful, and consistently well-made. One of the standout dishes for me was the shrimp with rice roll. The shrimp was fresh and had a good bite to it, while the rice roll itself was silky smooth and paired perfectly with the sauce. Simple dish, but done very well. You can really tell this is one of those classic Hong Kong spots that people keep returning to because of the consistency and quality. The atmosphere was lively and authentic, adding to the overall experience. Overall, a very satisfying dim sum restaurant that I would gladly revisit whenever back in Hong Kong."
